Become a Housing Hero - Fundraise for Hope
We’ve all heard the saying “It takes a village.” Shelters of Saratoga has been transforming the lives of our neighbors for 30 years. You can help us impact the lives of hundreds of people in our community by becoming a "Housing Hero". As a Housing Hero you will join others who are passionate about helping people overcome homelessness by raising money in support of safe and accessible shelter, food security, and supportive services right here in our community.
Creating a personal fundraising page to support Shelters of Saratoga gives you a chance to do something small, but make a big impact. You can spread the word and get your friends and family to rally behind a cause close to your heart. How, you might ask, would I do this?
A FEW IDEAS (but we encourage creativity!)
* You can donate in honor of your birthday
* Encourage wedding guests to make a donation in lieu of gifts
* Run/walk/ride your own mini-marathon
*Simply just explain why you are passionate about helping others and ask people to help you make a big difference!
Shelters of Saratoga, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization registered with the Internal Revenue Service/Department of the Treasury. Therefore, all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. All donors receive an acknowledgment for their tax records. Creating Your Fundraiser is Easy
Brainstorm activities/events that matter to you, and see if they could be turned into a personal fundraising campaign! It can be a day or a longer period of time. Creativity is welcome!
Register as a Fundraiser and create your simple Personal Fundraising page on behalf of Shelters of Saratoga. Consider naming your page to match the theme of your fundraising initiative, i.e. Josie's Birthday or Wendy & Tom's Run for the Cure!
Share with your friends, family, and colleagues! Remember, there is no deadline, only a total fundraising goal. So feel free to post about this on social media and share via email. We'll send you tips on what to say!
